I'm looking forward to it - there will be all sorts going on. An art exhibition, a wide range of locally written and/or published books, author signings, visits from the Mayor and the Town Crier and Miss Hastings (who will be painted) (on canvas) (by Juliette Dodd) (portraits while you wait) competition results - and the famous Kate O'Hearn fantasy team are coming in full regalia .... AND.... free tea and biscuits!

Miss Hastings was brilliantly painted (or rather, pastelled) by the hugely talented Juliette Dodd; Kate O'Hearn was resplendent in yards and yards of purple satin; the Mayor dropped into a black hole, which was unfortunate; but the tea and biccies worked fine, so that was all right.
A most splendid day.
Launch two will be in Bishop Auckland on the fourth of November. Details to follow...

This is a fabulous, original book with more layers and elements than I can count. Lulled into a sense of false security, the reader might begin to think he/she is an enchanted garden full of beauty, magic and kindness. As the dream turns into nightmare, we discover otherwise. The author has created a world that is surreal, terrifying and yet totally believable.
