The ‘PAPERBACK READER’ has been situated in Queens Road, Hastings for 25 years and is a popular browsing place for book lovers.
The shop is directly opposite the Morrison's Service Station.
The shop is clean and very well organised and staff always keen to assist you in your reading needs and being independent always aims to please.
I have been fortunate enough to meet both the proprietor and his wife and both proved very helpful and supportive
Recently the shop has begun to promote local authors with reserved 'local authors' shelves located in the front window and it is hoped great things will evolve.

I was in here today, and found a well-ordered range of mainstream paperback fiction - sensibly priced secondhand sci-fi, horror, romance, detective stories, thrillers, war stories and general fiction - but as Terry says, what attracted me most is the new section displaying new, locally produced and local interest books.
A comfortable, pleasant-to-use shop.
